About HDPE
High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is a linear polymer produced from ethylene through a catalytic process. Its lack of branching leads to a tightly packed structure, giving it a higher density and better chemical resistance compared to Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE). HDPE is also harder, more opaque, and can endure higher temperatures—up to 120° Celsius for short periods and 110° Celsius continuously. This makes HDPE particularly suitable for blow molding applications, such as manufacturing bottles, cutting boards, dipping baskets, dippers, trays, and containers.
